about the studio

The Paige Dunsdon Ballet and Jazz Studio is a leading dance school in North Brisbane offering Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Tap dance disciplines for children and young adults. We help students to have fun and express themselves through the beauty and fluidity of dance.

Our studio provides an inclusive and safe environment for students to achieve their dance goals. Our experienced team of dance instructors do this by instilling values of confidence, commitment, pride and the appreciation of others.

Our goal is to offer students the freedom to grow through dance. Students may choose to attend classes each week for fun, exercise and to socialise. However, those who wish to take exams will be nurtured and developed to achieve their dance levels. Exams are not mandatory.

Our studio provides an end of year opportunity for all students to perform for their parents and friends in a showcase theatre performance.

Our studio is led by our Principal, Paige Dunsdon and experienced dance teachers. We are members of the Royal Academy of Dance (A.R.A.D) and affiliated members of Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance.

Naturally poised, quietly spoken, inherently trustworthy and engaging, Paige provides a sincere and principled dance studio for her students.

An active participant in professional development, Paige has been teaching students for more than 30 years. She guides and develops dance skills, self-esteem and confidence through dance programmes, through her own dance studio and in association with arts companies.

Paige is classically trained in ballet. She found her love of ballet at the age of eight and has since completed all ballet examinations to an Advanced Level. Significantly, at just 15 years of age, Paige began teaching under her own teacher, and subsequently gained her Associate Diploma in Arts, at 18. She went on to Major in Teaching and attained the requisite standards of A.R.A.D teaching.

Paige embraces inclusiveness in her studio and her genuine joy for teaching all ages is clear. When asked about what she loves about her job, Paige simply says, “everything”

Why? Because from the time her students walk through her door and to when they master the steps, she witnesses an emerging confidence in her student’s that is deeply satisfying.
